If you are a Caravaggio fan than you should recognize this piece pretty quickly. This assignment was designed to take one of Caravaggio’s painting and create it into a charcoal piece. Kristin used Caravaggio’s “St. Jerome Writing” and cropped the piece for a better composition.

The still life was created by Kristin, and the piece is over 6 feet high and 7 feet in width! And the Self-portrait was created by Shannon which was created entirely of newspapers and charcoal which created a new and unique way of creating a self-portrait.
